Box Office Performance of 'Sitaare Zameen Par'

Aamir Khan has made a comeback to cinemas with his latest film 'Sitaare Zameen Par', which has garnered a positive reception from viewers. The film had a strong opening weekend but experienced a noticeable drop in box office earnings on its fourth day, Monday. For those unfamiliar, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is an official adaptation of the 2018 Spanish movie 'Champions'.

Day 4 Box Office Earnings:

As reported by Sacnilk, the film earned approximately Rs 8.50 crore on its fourth day, marking a significant decrease from the Rs 27.25 crore it made on the third day. Overall, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has accumulated a total of Rs 66.65 crore so far.

In a strategic move, Aamir Khan is expected to bypass an OTT release for 'Sitaare Zameen Par', opting instead for a 'pay-per-view' model. This approach requires viewers to pay specifically for the film they wish to watch, eliminating the need for a subscription to any OTT platform. This method mirrors the traditional cinema experience, allowing producers to benefit more directly.

According to reports from a media outlet, Aamir Khan prefers this model for his film. A source mentioned, “Aamir is keen on not releasing his films on streaming platforms immediately after their theatrical run, as it may deter audiences from attending cinemas. This is also why the poster of 'Sitaare Zameen Par' does not feature any streaming logos.”

In addition to Aamir Khan, the film features Genelia D’souza in a leading role, along with a talented ensemble cast including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, Aayush Bhansali, Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, Zeenat Hussain, and Nikhat Khan in significant roles.
