Sonam Raghuvanshi's Discovery and Arrest
A senior police official from Uttar Pradesh has provided additional information regarding the apprehension of Sonam Raghuvanshi. The 24-year-old was located near a roadside eatery on the Varanasi-Ghazipur highway on Monday. Initially, she was taken to Sadar Hospital for medical attention before being moved to the Sakhi One Stop Centre, as stated by Amitabh Yash, ADG Law and Order in Uttar Pradesh.
Circumstances Surrounding Sonam's Arrest
On Monday, reports indicated that Sonam was found and detained by the Ghazipur police. It was revealed that she had contacted her brother to assure him of her safety. This prompted the Madhya Pradesh police to be notified, and they proceeded to take her into custody.
According to Vipul Raghuvanshi, Sonam's brother, he received information about her whereabouts around 2 AM from another brother, Govind. They subsequently alerted the Uttar Pradesh police, who then took her into custody.
Vipul mentioned, 'I spoke to Govind around 2 AM. He informed me that Sonam was located in Uttar Pradesh. After we reached out to the UP Police, she was taken into custody. She did not surrender. We will not accept that Sonam is guilty unless she admits to it.'
He further expressed that the family is unaware of how Sonam ended up in Ghazipur and has requested the Madhya Pradesh Police and the CBI to investigate the matter.
