Shreyas Iyer's Impact on IPL

Despite the Punjab Kings not clinching the IPL title, their captain, Shreyas Iyer, has demonstrated remarkable skills in steering the team to the top of the points table. Previously, he led the Kolkata Knight Riders to victory, making his non-retention by KKR a surprising decision. Now with a new franchise, Iyer has showcased his abilities both as a batsman and a captain. Reports indicate that he has officially entered the race for the captaincy of the Indian white-ball team.

Official Announcement of Captaincy Aspirations

“Currently, he is only playing ODIs, but after this IPL, it will be hard to exclude him from T20 internationals and even Tests. He has now officially entered the race for white-ball captaincy,” stated an official source.
