Controversy Surrounds Sardaar Ji 3 Release

The eagerly awaited film Sardaar Ji 3, featuring Diljit Dosanjh alongside Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, is set to premiere internationally on June 27, 2025. This announcement comes amidst escalating political tensions between India and Pakistan, particularly following the recent Pahalgam terror incident.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has voiced strong disapproval regarding the inclusion of Hania Aamir in the film. In a formal letter, they have called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other high-ranking officials to take decisive action against both the actress and the film's production team.

In their correspondence to the Prime Minister, FWICE stated, “We, the undersigned representatives of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees, express our profound outrage over an act that not only contravenes our nation's laws but also disrespects its very essence.”

The letter further criticized Diljit Dosanjh, Gunbir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Sidhu, and Director Amar Hundal for hiring Hania Aamir, labeling it as an unforgivable act that undermines India's sovereignty and security.

FWICE's statement accused Hania Aamir of being a “vocal propagandist against India,” citing her alleged support for Pakistan's position following the Operation Sindoor airstrikes and the Pahalgam attack earlier this year.

“Hania Aamir is not just a foreign artist; she has openly criticized our armed forces and justified acts of terrorism against India. Her participation in any Indian film is an affront to every Indian citizen and the families affected by cross-border terrorism,” the press release emphasized.

FWICE further condemned Aamir's actions, stating, “She has repeatedly used her platform to spread negativity against India and demean our national tragedies. Her involvement in any Indian project is not only insensitive but also a blatant provocation against our nation.”

The federation has urged for immediate revocation of the passports of those involved and a permanent ban on their rights associated with Indian citizenship. They expressed that the actions of the Sardaar Ji 3 team reveal their true loyalties, which do not align with India or its cinema.

FWICE has also reached out to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the Central Board of Film Certification, requesting a complete prohibition on the film's release in India and the denial of censor certification.

Recently, Diljit released the film's trailer on Instagram, but it appears to be geo-blocked in India on YouTube, displaying a message indicating that the video is not available in the country. However, teasers and songs from the film remain accessible to Indian audiences.

The cast of Sardaar Ji 3 includes notable actors such as Manav Vij, Gulshan Grover, Jasmin Bajwa, and Sapna Pabbi, with Amar Hundal serving as the director.
