RCB Clinches First IPL Title: Rajat Patidar's Heartwarming Gesture for Virat Kohli

RCB Ends Trophy Drought with IPL Victory
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally celebrated their long-awaited triumph in the Indian Premier League (IPL) earlier this week, achieving a thrilling six-run victory over Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Under the leadership of Rajat Patidar, RCB secured their inaugural IPL championship, putting an end to years of near misses and disappointments.
Rajat Patidar's Touching Moment After the Win
Days after this monumental win, fans are still enjoying exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the celebrations, with a recent video gaining traction on social media. In this clip, Patidar deviates from the usual post-match tradition where the winning captain typically concludes the broadcast. Instead, he graciously allowed Virat Kohli to take the spotlight.

Patidar's First-Year Captaincy Success
In the video, Patidar encourages Kohli to take the honor of signing off. Initially hesitant, Kohli eventually agrees, much to the joy of the RCB team. This emotional moment highlighted Kohli's significant legacy and role within the franchise, especially following his impressive performance in the 2025 season.
Kohli, who had waited 18 years for an IPL title, was visibly touched after the match. He amassed 657 runs in 15 games, boasting a strike rate of 144.71 and an average of 54.75, including eight half-centuries during victorious matches.
Notably, Rajat Patidar became only the fourth captain in IPL history to win the title in his debut year, joining the ranks of Shane Warne, Rohit Sharma, and Hardik Pandya.
