Rajasthan Tragedy: Ex-BSF Soldier Commits Suicide After Killing Brother-in-Law

A Disturbing Incident in Nagaur
In a tragic event in Nagaur district, Rajasthan, a former Border Security Force (BSF) member reportedly shot his brother-in-law before taking his own life on Thursday. This incident stemmed from ongoing family disputes involving his estranged wife and her relatives.
The 48-year-old ex-BSF jawan had been increasingly distressed over his wife's extended three-month visit to her parental home. He accused his in-laws of manipulating her against him, leading to constant conflicts and eventual separation.
Local police constable Suresh Chaudhary confirmed that the man had recorded a message prior to the incident. In this recording, he expressed his marital struggles and claimed that his in-laws were influencing his wife's choices.
Chaudhary mentioned, "The bodies of Himanshu and his brother-in-law have been sent for autopsy. The investigation is ongoing." He added that the man was enraged by the ongoing disputes and believed his in-laws were coercing his wife to take their side, which led to frequent arguments and her decision to move back with her parents.
According to police reports, the ex-BSF soldier, who had two children, fatally shot his brother-in-law in the chest with a licensed firearm before turning the gun on himself, resulting in his immediate death.
In the video, he also revealed that his wife spent two to three hours daily talking to her siblings, prompting him to restrict her phone usage. Despite this, her siblings managed to provide her with a new phone. He further explained that financial strain was evident in their marriage, particularly when he failed to send her ₹15,000, which upset her.
This shocking incident has left the community in disbelief, and authorities are diligently investigating the circumstances surrounding it, including the contents of the recorded message.
