Following the tremendous success of RRR, director SS Rajamouli has stirred excitement among fans with his new project 'SSMB29' featuring Mahesh Babu. Initial reports suggested that Priyanka Chopra would play the female lead, and recent updates indicate that R Madhavan has also been added to the cast.

As per a report from a financial news outlet, R Madhavan is set to portray a significant and impactful role in SSMB29. However, neither the actor nor the production team has officially confirmed this information yet. Filming for SSMB29 reportedly commenced in January 2025, taking place in Hyderabad and Odisha.

On the professional front, R Madhavan was last seen in 'Kesari Chapter 2' as Neville McKinley, a film centered around the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which also features Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday. Additionally, he appeared in the Netflix movie 'Test' alongside Nayanthara and Siddharth.

In a previous interview, Madhavan discussed his decision to take a break from acting, sharing an anecdote about a Swiss farmer who seemed unimpressed with him. He reflected, 'I realized I was merely following others' expectations.'

He is also set to work with Fatima Sana Shaikh in the film 'Aap Jisa Koi.'

Regarding SSMB29, the film's music will be composed by M.M. Keeravani. Currently, SS Rajamouli has not disclosed any details about the storyline, release date, or the complete cast, leaving fans eager for more information about this ambitious project.
