Namo Bharat Train Trial Conducted
On Sunday, the trial run of the Namo Bharat train between Faridabad and Meerut took place. This trial marks significant progress in the development of the DND expressway. Once completed, this route will facilitate easier access for travelers from Faridabad to the Sarai Kale Khan railway station in Delhi.
Details of the Corridor
Spanning 82 kilometers, the entire journey is anticipated to take just one hour. During the trials, the train was tested at a speed of 160 km/h, with checks conducted on the platform screen and doors, as reported by a local media outlet.
Future Operations
Officials from NCRTC have indicated that preparations for regular operations on this route will commence following the trial.
DND Expressway Overview
The DND Expressway stretches 60 kilometers, with the Faridabad segment already completed. A 31-kilometer section is currently accessible to the public.
Travel Time Reduction
