Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder: On Monday evening, a team from Shillong police in Meghalaya confiscated a CCTV DVR from the residence of Shilom James in Indore. Shilom, who was present during the seizure, is a property dealer linked to the case. He was arrested on June 21 while trying to flee to Bhopal from the Bhonrasa toll-gate in Dewas district. The recovered CCTV DVR is expected to play a vital role in unraveling the murder mystery surrounding Raja Raghuvanshi.

Shilom's Role in the Investigation

The property dealer is accused of hiding crucial evidence related to the case. Shilom, who leased a building in Heera Bagh Colony, allegedly assisted Sonam in concealing a box containing jewelry, a laptop, and possibly a weapon belonging to her alleged partner, Raj Kushwaha. According to police reports, this box was later destroyed.

Additional Arrests and Developments

In a related development, Lokendra Tomar, another co-accused in the murder case, was presented before the Gwalior District court on Tuesday. Furthermore, Shillong police apprehended a man named Balvir Ahirwar from Shadora town in Madhya Pradesh's Ashoknagar district. Balvir, who worked as a watchman and carpenter at the flat where Sonam stayed post-murder, was taken to Indore for questioning. Ashoknagar Superintendent of Police, Vineet Kumar Jain, confirmed that Balvir was employed at the flat where Sonam Raghuvanshi resided after the incident.
