Police Custody for Sonam and Accomplices

Sonam Raghuvanshi, along with four other suspects involved in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, has been placed in police custody for eight days. Sonam Aided in Disposing of Raja's Body

The Shillong Police managed to recover two of Sonam's phones, while two others linked to the murder remain missing. Investigators suspect that she extensively searched online for information regarding the murder location and the site where Raja was killed. Disturbingly, she assisted the three hired killers in discarding the victim's body into a gorge.

Sonam Admits Her Role in the Murder

On Thursday, Sonam admitted her participation in the murder. After the incident, the four suspects fled on three scooters, while Sonam took a train from Guwahati to Indore. Prior to this, she hired a taxi to reach the train station, and Shillong police are currently attempting to locate the taxi driver for his testimony.

Discovery of Mangalsutra at Sohra Homestay

The investigation took a surprising turn when police discovered a ring and Sonam's mangalsutra in a suitcase left at the couple's homestay in Sohra. It has been revealed that they arrived in Sohra on May 22, but due to a lack of prior booking, no rooms were available. They chose to leave their suitcase behind, as carrying it during their planned trek would have been challenging.
