Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder Case Live Updates: A significant update has surfaced in the murder case involving Sonam Raghuvanshi. The 24-year-old was discovered near a roadside eatery on the Varanasi-Ghazipur highway on Monday. Initially, she was taken to Sadar Hospital for medical attention before being moved to the Sakhi One Stop Centre, as reported by Amitabh Yash, ADG Law and Order, Uttar Pradesh. It has been noted that Sonam contacted her brother to assure him of her safety. Following this, the Madhya Pradesh police were notified and have proceeded to take her into custody.
Conrad K Sangma, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, confirmed the progress in the murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi and praised the state police's efforts. He mentioned that three suspects have been apprehended, and operations are still underway to capture the last remaining suspect. Meghalaya's DGP, Idashisha Nongrang, indicated that Sonam is believed to have played a role in her husband Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder during their honeymoon and allegedly hired hitmen for the act.
According to Vipul Raghuvanshi, Raja’s brother, he received information about Sonam’s whereabouts around 2 AM from her brother, Govind. They subsequently alerted the Uttar Pradesh police, who then took her into custody.
Vipul stated, “I spoke to Govind around 2 AM. He informed me that Sonam was located in Uttar Pradesh. After we contacted the UP Police, she was taken into custody. She did not surrender. We will not accept that Sonam is guilty unless she confesses.”
Vipul Raghuvanshi also revealed crucial information regarding Raj Kushwaha, hinting at Sonam’s involvement in the murder. He mentioned that he was initially unaware of the identities of those arrested, but once Raj’s name was mentioned, he recognized him. Reports indicate that Sonam and Raj Kushwaha were romantically involved, and she allegedly plotted Raja's murder due to this affair.
