Kerala Bikers Embark on Peace Journey to Kashmir

A Journey of Unity and Hope

A contingent of 26 motorcyclists from Kerala has embarked on an 11-day expedition to the picturesque Kashmir Valley, which includes a visit to the renowned Dal Lake and concludes at the Line of Control (LoC) in Teetwal, Kupwara. This rally, initiated on June 1, was inspired by the heartbreaking Pahalgam attack that resulted in the loss of 26 innocent lives, carrying a significant message: 'Bullet bikes over Bullets.'

Symbolic Protest Against Terrorism

The event, organized by R. Ramanand, is termed 'Chalo LoC' and aims to address the violence that has affected the Kashmir Valley. Ramanand stated, 'This is a symbolic protest against terror. We are here with 26 bullet bikes, symbolizing the lives lost. Our journey signifies our unity against terrorism and our refusal to be silenced by violence.'

A 3,600-Kilometer Journey

The bikers began their extensive 3,600-kilometer journey from Kalady, the birthplace of Adi Shankara, passing through ten states before arriving in Srinagar and finally reaching the LoC in North Kashmir. Among the participants, approximately 15 were women riders who emphasized the use of their motorcycles as symbols of unity, contrasting the bullets wielded by terrorists.

Support from the Community

The rally has received considerable support on social media, with numerous users expressing admiration for the bikers' brave initiative. Comments such as 'Welcome to Kashmir!' have flooded various online platforms, celebrating their dedication to peace and communal harmony.

Messages of Resilience

Upon reaching Teetwal, a strategically significant area near Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), the bikers carried messages of hope and resilience. Ramanand reiterated, 'The act of terror will not make us yield. We stand united against fear and hatred,' emphasizing their mission to dispel the notion of Kashmir as an unsafe place.

This inspiring initiative not only honors the victims of the Pahalgam attack but also serves as a powerful call for peace and solidarity in a region often affected by terrorism. As they journeyed into the heart of Kashmir, these bikers demonstrated that love and unity can overcome fear and violence.
