Jaipur Woman Criticizes Air India Express for Inhumane Treatment During Flight Delay

Passenger Outrage Over Air Conditioning Failure
A woman from Jaipur has expressed her frustration towards Air India Express after passengers were left on an aircraft for over five hours without air conditioning, any crew interaction, or updates regarding their situation.
Aarzoo Sethi, a dietitian and nutrition consultant, boarded Flight IX196 from Jaipur to Dubai on Saturday, expecting a routine flight. However, she described the experience as a nightmare, with passengers, including children, trapped in a hot aircraft without any relief.
In a viral Instagram video, Sethi revealed that passengers were left sitting in the aircraft without air conditioning, updates, or any response from the crew.
The video, which has garnered over 18 million views, depicted passengers visibly exhausted, sweating profusely, and desperately pressing the assistance button, yet receiving no help.
Sethi highlighted her 3-year-old son, who was drenched in sweat, stating, "We have been pressing the crew button for ages and no one has responded. This is the level of irresponsibility we are dealing with."
She further criticized the airline for its lack of communication during the ordeal, questioning, "Even if it’s a technical fault, where is the basic communication? Where is the accountability?"
In her video caption, Sethi mentioned, "We were stranded inside an @airindiax flight for 5+ hours, Flight number IX196, with no AC, no communication, and zero assistance from the crew."
She noted that other passengers were also struggling to cope with the situation while the airline failed to provide any clarity.
Sethi labeled the incident a "serious safety lapse" and urged the airline to take responsibility before the situation escalates further.
As of now, Air India Express has not released any official statement regarding the incident or addressed the concerns raised in the video. Updates will follow once the airline responds.
