In the event that the match scheduled for June 3 cannot commence due to heavy rain, a reserve day has been allocated by the BCCI. This means that if necessary, the match can be played the following day. However, all teams strive to complete the match on the original date.

Cancellation Scenarios

Should heavy rain prevent the match from occurring on the reserve day as well, the championship will be awarded to the team that finishes at the top of the points table for the IPL 2025 season. If the Punjab Kings lead the points table, the Royal Challengers Bangalore may miss the opportunity to compete in the final.
