ICC Announces Venues and Dates for Women's Cricket World Cups 2025 and 2026

Major Announcements by ICC

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed significant details about the locations and schedules for two major women's cricket tournaments, set to take place in India and England over the next nine months. The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 dates and venues have been finalized, along with the match schedules for both the Women's Cricket World Cup and the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

Venue Uncertainties

The knockout stage venues hinge on Pakistan's qualification, with two alternative locations earmarked for one semifinal and the final. The final is scheduled for November 2, either in Bengaluru or Colombo, while the first semifinal will occur on October 29 in either Guwahati or Colombo, and the second semifinal is set for Bengaluru on October 30. Colombo will host the first semifinal and the final only if Pakistan secures a spot in these rounds.

Excitement for Upcoming Tournaments

ICC Chairman Mr. Jay Shah expressed, “We are thrilled to announce crucial details regarding two global women’s tournaments organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the England and Wales Cricket Board in the upcoming months.”

“The support from fans for women's cricket has been remarkable in recent years, and I believe they will begin planning for these significant events now that the dates and venues are confirmed. Women's cricket is central to our vision, and we are confident that these tournaments will not only maintain the incredible momentum we've achieved but elevate it further.”

Neutral Venue for Champions Trophy

India clinched the Champions Trophy 2025, hosted by Pakistan, but concerns over security led Indian authorities to hesitate in sending players to Pakistan. After extensive discussions, Pakistan agreed to a hybrid model, allowing India's matches to be played in the UAE, while other teams will compete in Pakistan and travel to the UAE for their matches against India.
