Court Decision on Bail Plea

On Wednesday, a court in Hisar rejected the bail application of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who has been accused of espionage for Pakistan.


Her attorney, Advocate Kumar Mukesh, stated, "The bail application was presented before JMFC Sunil Kumar's court, and we requested a response from the police today. After receiving their reply, I presented my arguments in court. This evening, the court denied her bail request."


Judicial Custody Extension

Jyoti Malhotra's judicial custody was extended by an additional 14 days on June 9. According to her lawyer, she was initially placed in judicial custody on May 26, which ended on June 9.


On June 9, she appeared before Judge Sunil Kumar, and the next court session is set for June 23, where she is expected to attend.


Future Legal Proceedings

Kumar Mukesh mentioned, "The previous hearing occurred on May 26, during which the court ordered Jyoti Malhotra to remain in custody for 14 days, concluding today, June 9. She appeared in court again today, and the next hearing is scheduled for June 23."


He added that they are preparing a new bail petition, which they hope to file within the week.


The police are currently examining Jyoti's bank records and the data retrieved from her phone and laptop. Mukesh noted that a podcast featuring Jyoti Malhotra and a Pakistani YouTuber discusses themes of brotherhood.
