Assault Case in Greater Noida

A recent incident in Greater Noida has led to an FIR being lodged against four women, including Priyanka Nagar, the daughter of Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar. This dispute arose within the Purvanchal Heights Society located in Sector JITA 1, following a minor car accident.

Tejpal Nagar has claimed that the opposition is attempting to damage his political reputation, asserting that the truth will emerge during the investigation. He noted that there have been previous attempts to undermine his image, all of which have failed.

The conflict began when Jaishree Gupta reported that her vehicle lightly collided with that of Rekha Bhati, a society resident, upon returning from the market. Although Rekha was initially upset, the situation was diffused at that moment. However, it is alleged that later that night, Rekha, along with Poon Bhati, Priyanka Nagar, and another individual, forcibly entered Jaishree's flat and assaulted her. Jaishree's daughters, Riya and Isha, were also reportedly attacked when they tried to intervene.

A video capturing the assault has circulated widely on social media, showing Jaishree with visible injuries. She arrived at the police station around midnight with her daughters, and after a medical examination, an FIR was filed against Priyanka Nagar and the others involved.

In a counterclaim, Rekha Bhati has accused Jaishree of deliberately crashing into her car, alleging intent to cause damage. Both parties have filed complaints, and the police are currently investigating the situation. They have secured CCTV footage from the society, which is expected to be pivotal in resolving the case.

The CCTV footage is crucial evidence, especially as the viral video shows one individual pulling Jaishree's hair during the altercation.

Police Investigation Update

Vinod Kumar, the in-charge of Surajpur police station, stated that a case has been registered based on the complaints from both sides. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are examining all aspects of the incident to reach a conclusion soon.
