Greater Noida Authority Takes Action Against Illegal Constructions in Sunpura

Enforcement Action in Sunpura Village
On Tuesday, the Greater Noida Authority conducted an operation in Sunpura village, utilizing bulldozers to remove encroachments from a designated area. Approximately 20,000 square meters of land was cleared of illegal structures, as colonizers had begun constructing buildings and roads without the necessary permissions.
Ravi Kumar, the CEO of the authority, stated that measures are being implemented to address encroachments in notified areas rigorously. A dedicated team from the authority is consistently working to combat illegal encroachments. This team executed their duties in Sunpura on Tuesday.
Prerna Singh, the ACEO of the authority, highlighted that the colonizers were attempting to establish an unauthorized colony on land identified by Khasra number 429 in Sunpura, which falls within the Greater Noida notified area. Despite multiple warnings regarding illegal construction, the colonizers ignored the directives and proceeded without an approved map.
The operation on Tuesday involved collaboration among various officials, including AK Singh, General Manager of the Project Department, Special Executive Officer Jitendra Gautam, and several managers and staff members. They worked alongside police and security personnel to dismantle the illegal structures. The entire operation was completed in just three hours, aided by six JCBs and five dumpers from the authority.
Authorities estimate that the land reclaimed could be valued at over Rs 40 crore. Prerna Singh cautioned encroachers that Sunpura is part of the Greater Noida Authority's notified area, and individuals involved in unauthorized construction will face legal action. She also advised potential land buyers to confirm the legitimacy of the land with the authorities before making any purchases.
