Tragic Incident Shocks the World
A devastating incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when an Air India flight, en route to London, crashed just five minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad International Airport. The aircraft was carrying approximately 230 passengers along with 12 crew members at the time of the accident.
World leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, were among the first to convey their sorrow and condolences to Indian officials in response to this tragedy.
President Putin expressed his condolences to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing the event as 'tragic'.
In an official statement, he said, 'Please accept my deepest condolences regarding the tragic consequences of the plane crash at Ahmedabad airport.' He extended his sympathies to the families and friends of the victims and wished for a swift recovery for all those affected by the incident. Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, also conveyed his sympathies to the victims and the Indian government.

Alipov further stated, 'My heartfelt sympathy to the families and near ones of the victims and to all Indian people and the Government of India over this tragic major catastrophe.'
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the incident as 'devastating', referring to the scenes from Ahmedabad.

He remarked, 'The scenes emerging of a London-bound plane carrying many British nationals crashing in the Indian city of Ahmedabad are devastating. I am being kept updated as the situation develops, and my thoughts are with the passengers and their families at this deeply distressing time.'
