Following their discussions, India and Canada reached an agreement to appoint new high commissioners. Canadian PM Carney remarked, "We will move to appoint High Commissioners again." During the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, both leaders reflected on the robust historical ties between their nations, discussing collaborations in the Indo-Pacific region, economic growth, and supply chain partnerships. Carney noted PM Modi's consistent participation in G7 Summits since 2018, attributing it to the significance of India's economy and its technological advancements on the global stage.

Carney stated, "As Chair of the G7, hosting the Prime Minister in that context is entirely natural, entirely consistent. I fully expect the Prime Minister of India to be in attendance at the G7 in France next year." In a follow-up, PM Modi expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality received during his visit, stating, "Concluding a productive Canada visit.
