Launch of Advanced CityCat Cleaning Vehicle
On Sunday, Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar unveiled a cutting-edge CityCat cleaning vehicle aimed at enhancing the cleanliness and greenery of Bengaluru. He emphasized that this initiative showcases the government's dedication to improving the city's sanitation and infrastructure. In a post shared on X, he stated, “Cleaner Bengaluru, Smarter Bengaluru. The all-new, state-of-the-art #CityCat vehicle is ready to roll out on Bengaluru’s streets.”

Yettinahole Project Update
On the previous day, while discussing the Yettinahole project, Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar announced that the government aims to supply Yettinahole water to Kolar by 2027. He noted that discussions with the forest department regarding the project's challenges have already taken place. The meeting also covered land acquisition and financial matters related to constructing a balanced reservoir in Bairagonda, Lakkenahalli.
Shivakumar assured that modifications to the project would be made based on ministerial suggestions and stated his intention to review all aspects before addressing the matter in the next cabinet meeting.
“Our government is committed to delivering Yettinahole water to Kolar by 2027. We have already engaged with the Forest Department regarding the project's challenges, including land acquisition and financial issues concerning the reservoir construction. We have inspected the site and will implement changes based on ministerial feedback. I will thoroughly review everything and bring this up in the upcoming cabinet meeting. I am not concerned about delays in other projects, as the Chief Minister has instructed me to prioritize the Yettinahole project,” Shivakumar informed the media on Saturday.
