Passengers and Crew Experience Illness on Mumbai Flight
In a troubling event, an Air India flight heading to Mumbai reported that five passengers and two crew members experienced dizziness and nausea. The airline confirmed on Monday that the flight landed safely in Mumbai, where a medical team was prepared for immediate assistance. Reports indicate that those on board Air India Flight 130 began feeling unwell during the flight.
Medical Attention Provided to Affected Individuals
All seven individuals who reported symptoms were taken for medical evaluation upon landing and were later released. An Air India spokesperson stated, "The flight landed safely in Mumbai, and our medical teams were on standby to assist. After landing, two passengers and two crew members who continued to feel unwell were taken to the medical room for further assessment and were subsequently discharged. We are currently investigating the situation and have informed the regulatory authorities."
Jammu-Bound Flight Returns Due to GPS Issues
Air India has also notified the Directorate General of Civil Aviation about this incident. In a separate occurrence earlier on the same day, an Air India Express flight IX2564, which was bound for Jammu, had to return mid-flight due to suspected GPS signal interference. Passengers were later transferred to a replacement aircraft, as confirmed by the airline.
