Air India Flight Crashes Shortly After Takeoff from Ahmedabad

Tragic Incident Involving Air India Flight
An Air India flight carrying 242 passengers met with a tragic accident just minutes after departing from Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport in Ahmedabad. The aircraft was headed to London Gatwick Airport in the United Kingdom.
In response to the crash, three teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), comprising 90 personnel, have been dispatched from Gandhinagar to the site of the incident. Additionally, three more teams are en route from Vadodara. Families of those on board the ill-fated flight hurried to local hospitals in search of information about their loved ones.
Poonam Patel, who arrived at the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, expressed her distress, stating, “My sister-in-law was going to London. Within an hour, I got news that the plane had crashed. So I have come here.”

Another relative, Bhawna Patel, shared her concern, saying, “My sister was scheduled to fly to London at around 1:10 PM, but the flight crashed.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been in touch with the Minister of Civil Aviation, Rammohan Naidu, to evaluate the situation. Naidu informed the PM that he was heading to the crash site to oversee the relief and rescue efforts. Modi instructed him to take immediate action to provide assistance and to keep him updated on developments.
Home Minister Amit Shah also communicated with Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and the police commissioner regarding the incident, assuring them of full support from the central government for the ongoing relief and rescue operations.
