Adani Group's Service Initiative During Rath Yatra in Puri

Adani Group's Commitment to Service at Rath Yatra
Earlier this year, during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, the Adani Group initiated an extensive seva campaign, primarily supported by volunteers. The group is now focusing on another significant religious occasion in India – the Rath Yatra in Puri, Odisha.
This annual nine-day Rath Yatra, commencing from the renowned Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, draws millions of devotees from across the nation and beyond. Upholding the vision of Chairman Gautam Adani, ‘Seva hi sadhna hai’, the group is organizing dedicated service activities for both devotees and service personnel from June 26 to July 8.
Reports indicate that approximately 40 lakh food and beverage items are being provided free of charge as part of this initiative. Numerous food counters have been established throughout the city, ensuring that pilgrims and administrative staff receive nutritious meals. To combat the heat, cold drink stalls have also been set up. Additionally, support is being extended to lifeguards stationed on Puri beach.
Volunteers are actively engaged in beach clean-up efforts, particularly focusing on the removal of plastic waste. Municipal workers are being equipped with safety jackets, while government volunteers receive complimentary T-shirts, raincoats, caps, jackets, and umbrellas for devotees and officials.
This comprehensive service initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Adani Group, Puri administration, ISKCON, and local NGOs.
In Odisha, the Adani Foundation is already involved in rural health, educational infrastructure, and livelihood projects. The group views this service endeavor as an extension of India's social and spiritual heritage.
The Adani Group's commitment to social responsibility transcends education, health, and infrastructure development. It is evolving into an active participant in Indian culture and spirituality, not merely as a sponsor but as a dedicated servant.
Previously, during the 45-day Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, the Adani Group, in partnership with ISKCON and Gita Press, provided extensive food services and support to pilgrims. On January 21, Gautam Adani personally took part in the service activities at Kumbh, emphasizing that public service is a fundamental value for him, rather than an isolated endeavor.
Sources suggest that while the Maha Kumbh symbolizes grand service, the Rath Yatra exemplifies a heartfelt and local connection to service. Although the number of devotees in Puri may be smaller, the energy and organizational challenges of the event are significant.
Through its Rath Yatra service campaign, the Adani Group is not only offering assistance but also reinforcing its vision of development rooted in Indian values, cultural awareness, and community spirit.
This service campaign is meticulously planned in collaboration with local partners. Volunteers are drawn from both the group and local communities, with ground-level implementation led by coordinators who have strong local ties.
