Puri Traffic Advisory Overview

Puri Traffic Advisory: The Puri Police have released a detailed traffic advisory in anticipation of Devasnana Purnima, scheduled for June 11, 2025. With a significant influx of devotees expected for the sacred Snana Yatra, preparations are underway to manage the traffic effectively. The advisory specifies various routes and designated parking areas to facilitate smooth traffic flow during this important event. To prevent congestion, restrictions will be enforced on four-wheeled vehicles.

1. Brahmagiri Route: Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) arriving from Brahmagiri will turn right at Mangalaghata towards Sterling Chhak. They can then proceed to Beach Road, parking at Yatrika.


NOTE: Vehicles will return via the same route.


2. Bhubaneswar Route: LMVs coming from Bhubaneswar will head to Jail Road Parking and Saradhabli Open ground via Batagaon, Charinala, Atharnala Kumbharapada PS, Medical Chhaka, and Badasankha. Once these parking areas are full, vehicles will be redirected to Yatrika Parking, Digabareni Parking, or Blue Flag Beach Parking/Neelachal Ashok Parking.


3. Konark Route: LMVs from Konark must be directed to the parking areas at Saradhabli Open ground via Baidas Nagar, Toshali Sands Chhaka, Grid Station Chhaka, Balighat Chhak, Sidhhamahaveer Chhak, and Matiapada Chhak. Remaining vehicles will be diverted to Talabania Parking and ITI Parking via Grid Station Chhak and Bhudan Chhak, returning via the same route.

  • Motorcycles can access Grand Road via Atharnala, Banamber Chhak, Kumbharapada PS, and Hospital Chhaka. Parking is available at the Municipality Market complex on a first-come, first-served basis.


  • Once the Municipality Market complex parking is full, motorcycles will be redirected to the Old Jagannath Ballav Parking area.

  • Three-wheelers from Talabania will be directed to Hospital Chhak via Water Works Road, Odisha Bakery, Ram Mandir, Ghoda Bazar, and Red Cross Road. After dropping off passengers, they will return via the same route.


  • Three-wheelers heading towards the sea beach from Talabania can access Town Hall Chhaka via Penthakata Chhaka, CT Road, Youth Hostel, Urban Hata, Zilla School, and SCS College Chhaka. Entry around the temple and towards Lion's Gate is restricted via Solakhia Baragachha Chhaka on Balisahi Road; from Biseswari Temple towards the North Gate; and from Mochi Sahi Chhaka and Brusav Chhaka on Lokanath Road.
