Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025: Javelin Throwing Event Rescheduled for July 5 in Bengaluru

Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 Rescheduled
The Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025, a prestigious javelin throwing competition, is set to take place in Bengaluru on July 5. Originally planned for May 24, the event was postponed due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. Arshad Nadeem, the Olympic champion from Pakistan, had previously opted out of participating in this event. Neeraj Chopra, the gold medalist from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the reigning world champion, is expected to be the star attraction, but he will face tough competition from other elite athletes.
Event Details and Venue
The NC Classic is organized by a five-time world champion in javelin, in collaboration with JSW Sports, the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), and World Athletics (WA). The event will be hosted at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, having been moved from the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula due to issues with the floodlights at the original venue. This international competition is classified as a WA A category or Continental Tour Gold-level meet, marking it as one of the highest-level athletic events ever held in India.
