Monsoon LIVE Update: On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, residents in North India experienced a refreshing start to the day with overcast skies. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that rainy weather will persist through the weekend. An advisory has been issued regarding heavy rainfall and thunderstorms expected in various regions of Northeast India over the next week.


The weather agency has indicated that significant rainfall is anticipated in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh from June 25 to 28; Vidarbha on June 25; Gangetic West Bengal from June 25 to 27; Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on June 25, 28, and 29; and Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan from June 25 to 30. Additionally, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh will see rain from June 25 to 27, while East Uttar Pradesh will experience rainfall from June 27 to 30. West Rajasthan is expected to receive rain on June 27, and Haryana and Punjab will see rain on June 25 and 26.


Moreover, the monsoon is set to reach parts of Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat starting today, with conditions likely to continue until June 29, 2025. The IMD stated, 'The southwest monsoon has progressed further over the remaining areas of the north Arabian Sea, additional parts of West Uttar Pradesh, some regions of Haryana, Chandigarh, the remaining areas of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu, along with more parts of Punjab.'
