Finally, after a long wait, I'm thrilled to be collaborating with Imtiaz Ali. It's truly a dream come true.
I first met Imtiaz a while back after the release of my debut series, Archies. We had a pleasant conversation, and about a year later, we reconnected, during which he shared his vision for this project. I was immediately excited.
Admiration for Imtiaz Ali's Work
I've watched nearly all of Imtiaz's films except for his debut, Socha Na Tha. My favorites include Rockstar and Chamkila, but classics like Jab We Met and Tamasha also stand out. He has a unique ability to portray human emotions and dilemmas in a poetic manner.
Reflecting on Career Progression
Having started with Zoya Akhtar, followed by a Karan Johar production, and now working with Imtiaz Ali, I feel grateful for my journey so far. I'm focused and dedicated, fully aware of the responsibility that comes with being part of an Imtiaz Ali film. I am committed to delivering my best performance without excuses, fueled by a strong motivation.
Working with Naseeruddin Shah
It's both daunting and thrilling to share the screen with Naseeruddin Shah. I've spent countless hours watching his lectures on acting, taking notes as I aspired to hone my craft. Meeting him was an honor, and I expressed my admiration during our first encounter.
Preparation for the Film
Preparations for the film have already commenced to some extent, including look tests. We anticipate starting the shooting in August.
