Squid Game Returns for Its Final Season
The acclaimed series Squid Game has become a global sensation on Netflix, elevating Korean cinema to unprecedented levels. Following a dramatic conclusion to its second season, the show is gearing up for its third and final season. The creators have unveiled a new poster that highlights the main characters, hinting at the intense drama that awaits in the concluding chapter.
In the announcement accompanying the poster, the creators stated, "Step into the games one last time. SQUID GAME: SEASON 3. June 27."
The third season of Squid Game is set to debut on Netflix globally on June 27, 2025.
In a previous announcement regarding Season 3, director Hwang Dong-hyuk expressed his excitement, stating, "I am thrilled to announce the date for Season 2 and share the news of Season 3, the final season. On the first day of shooting for Season 2, I thought, 'Wow, I can't believe I'm back in the world of Squid Game.' It felt surreal, and I wonder how it will feel for you to return after three years as well."
Squid Game Season 3 features a talented cast including Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-shim, Jo Yu-ri, Lee David, and Roh Jae-won, all reprising their roles from earlier seasons.
Additionally, the creators have introduced Cheol-su, the giant robot doll boyfriend of Young-hee, in a post-credit scene. For those unfamiliar, Young-hee is the robot doll featured in the 'Red Light Green Light' game from both seasons.
