On Thursday, the teaser for the romantic drama Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, directed by Santosh Singh, was released. The film features Vikrant Massey alongside newcomer Shanaya Kapoor. This one-minute teaser poses a poignant question: Is love genuinely blind?

The teaser begins with Vikrant wearing sunglasses while Shanaya is depicted with a blindfold. This imagery suggests an unexpected meeting between two individuals that evolves into a profound emotional bond. Although not much is disclosed, the atmosphere is soft, poetic, and filled with the nostalgia of first love.

In the concluding moments, Vikrant's voice inquires of Shanaya, 'Toh yeh kehna sahi hoga na… ki pyaar andha hota hai?' effectively highlighting the film's central theme.

This film marks Shanaya Kapoor's entry into Bollywood, and she has received enthusiastic support from her family and friends. Her father, Sanjay Kapoor, expressed his excitement with 'Jai Mata Di,' while her mother, Maheep Kapoor, shared her love with a simple 'Love love love.' Navya Nanda cheered, 'Wohoooo Shan!!!' and Anjini Dhawan added heart and star emojis. Fans also shared their enthusiasm, with comments like 'She’s going to kill it' and speculations about whether the film is inspired by Ruskin Bond’s The Eyes Have It.

Shanaya describes her debut film as an emotional journey, stating, 'This film has been an incredibly emotional journey for me. Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is produced by Zee Studios and Mini Films, with Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla as producers. The screenplay is penned by Mansi Bagla, and the film is directed by Santosh Singh. It is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025.

This film is the first of three upcoming projects for Shanaya. She will also appear in Vrushabha alongside Mohanlal, set to release on October 16, followed by Tu Yaa Main with Adarsh Gourav, which will premiere on Valentine’s Day 2026.
