Nagarjuna Shares Emotional Connection with Kuberaa at Mumbai Song Launch

The launch event for the song from Kuberaa in Mumbai began with an exciting surprise: two consecutive screenings of the film's teaser, followed by the unveiling of the new track, Pippi Pippi Dum Dum Dum, which set a vibrant atmosphere for the evening.

One of the standout moments was when superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni opened up about the significance of Kuberaa in his career. He expressed that the film arrived at a crucial time when he was in search of something innovative and impactful.

“This film is incredibly special to me. It came into my life when I was contemplating my next steps. As you asked, what should I pursue next? I can't keep repeating the same roles,” he shared.

Nagarjuna revealed that his long-held wish to work with director Sekhar Kammula was finally realized with Kuberaa, and it took little persuasion to get him on board.

“Sekhar Kammula, whom I’ve wanted to collaborate with for the past 15 years, approached me and asked, ‘Would you be interested in this role?’ I didn’t even inquire much about the details — I simply agreed,” he recounted.

He also commended Kammula’s distinctive storytelling style and the emotional depth present in his films.

“I have watched Sekhar’s previous works. He is an exceptional filmmaker — so authentic, and his sensibilities resonate deeply. As Dhanush mentioned, his heart is pure, and that authenticity shines through in his scripts,” Nagarjuna noted.

Describing Kuberaa as the perfect film at the right moment, he concluded, “Everything felt just right.”

Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd, with co-production by Vipul Agarwal and Manish Vasisth, Kuberaa is presented in North India by Mugafi, which also manages its distribution in the northern region.

Directed by the National Award-winning Sekhar Kammula, Kuberaa features Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dhanush, and Rashmika Mandanna. The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) and will be available in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, enhancing its appeal across India.

Kuberaa is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 20, 2025.
