Muzammil Ibrahim Reflects on His Past with Deepika Padukone

Actor and model Muzammil Ibrahim recently discussed his previous relationship with Bollywood icon Deepika Padukone during an interview with Siddharth Kannan. He revealed that they were together for two years when Deepika had just relocated to Mumbai to pursue her acting career.

Muzammil mentioned, “We were in a relationship for two years.” He recalled being the first person Deepika met upon her arrival in Mumbai, noting her confidence stemming from being Prakash Padukone’s daughter, which made her well-known.

He reminisced about how Deepika initiated their relationship, but he ultimately decided to end it. “At that time, I was a star, and she was not. Now, she is a superstar, recognized by everyone, while I remain relatively unknown. I admire her work and find her to be a remarkable woman,” he stated.

Looking back at their early days, Muzammil fondly remembered their simple yet delightful dates, saying, “We were young and would take rickshaws in the rain for our outings. Those moments were adorable. I had a better income at that time, and when I bought a car, she was thrilled. Those memories are special, as I haven’t had a rickshaw date since then, yet we were so joyful despite having little money.”

He also shared a cherished memory of celebrating Deepika’s birthday by arranging for her favorite song to be played repeatedly at a club. “Even without spending much, the DJ played her favorite song for an hour and a half because I was friends with him. It was a special moment for her birthday,” he recalled.

When asked about their current relationship, Muzammil mentioned, “We would occasionally talk before her marriage.” He noted that they maintained a friendly rapport post-breakup, congratulating each other on their successes, but lost contact after Deepika married Ranveer Singh.
