Esha Gupta Discusses Her Experience in the Industry
Esha Gupta has recently made headlines following an interview where she shared various experiences from her career. Among the topics discussed was her well-known altercation with filmmaker Sajid Khan during the filming of 'Humshakals'. She disclosed that she left the set after their disagreement and was not interested in continuing with the project.
Reflecting on her confrontation with Siddharth Kannan, Esha stated, “We had a disagreement. Sajid Khan and I were not aligned at all, which led to a significant argument. After that incident, things changed completely. I dislike being insulted; it's essential to treat others as you wish to be treated. It’s straightforward. He insulted me, and I responded in kind.”
She further commented, “Some individuals speak without thinking… they are often frustrated for various reasons. I prefer not to dwell on that as I have moved past it.”
When asked if her conflict with Sajid was linked to the MeToo movement, Esha firmly rejected the notion. She clarified, “No, in that regard, I must give him credit. A newspaper mistakenly included my name in Sajid Khan’s dating history early on, and I ensured they issued an apology.”
Esha emphasized, “I have never made any MeToo allegations against Sajid. In fact, when those accusations surfaced, my name was wrongfully added to the list of accusers. I made it clear that I did not agree. I believe in addressing wrongdoings openly. I am stating now that he insulted me, but he never engaged in any sexual misconduct towards me, so I won’t label him as such.”
