Allu Arjun's Triumph at the Gaddar Film Awards

Allu Arjun was awarded the Best Actor accolade for his role in 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' during the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards 2024. The event took place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, with Telangana's Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy presenting the award.


In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Allu Arjun expressed his gratitude towards the Telangana Government, CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, producer Dil Raju, and the jury. He stated, “I am truly humbled and thankful to receive the Gaddar Award for Best Actor for #Pushpa2. My sincere appreciation goes to the Government of Telangana, Honourable CM Sri @revanthofficial Garu, Deputy CM @bhatti_vikramarka Garu, Cinematography Minister @komatireddy__venkatreddy Garu, #DilRaju garu, and all the jury members for this recognition and for promoting cinema through such a remarkable initiative.”

Directed by Sukumar, 'Pushpa 2' features Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil alongside Allu Arjun, who portrays the head of an illegal red sandalwood smuggling operation. The film is set to release in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, and is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.


Nivetha Thomas received the Best Actress award for '35: Chinna Katha Kaadu', while Nag Ashwin was honored as Best Director for 'Kalki 2898 AD'.


The event was attended by prominent personalities from the Telugu film industry, including Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vijay Deverakonda, directors Sukumar, M. Sukumar, S. S. Rajamouli, and renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam along with actress Suhasini.
