While I never used to be fond of cake and candles, my perspective has changed thanks to Nin and Nevaeh. They love to celebrate, and I've embraced that spirit again. Nin often reminds me to celebrate our lives and the moments we share, as they become cherished memories. In today's world, we can capture these memories through our phones and cameras, allowing us to revisit them later. So, thanks to my wife, I've rediscovered the joy of celebrating with cake and candles. It's truly beautiful to enjoy these fleeting moments, as they transform into lasting memories.

Fond Birthday Memories from Childhood

What are your earliest birthday memories?

My family has always made my birthdays special. My mother ensured we celebrated, especially since my father and I share the same birthday. We would cut a cake together, surrounded by friends, streamers, balloons, music, and games. These celebrations filled my childhood with joy until I became an actor. As my career took off, I became busier, and celebrations took a backseat.

Absolutely! Thanks to my wife Nin and daughter Nevaeh, I'm celebrating more aspects of life than ever before.

How do you view your journey from Farex to Mast and beyond?

Farex was a significant milestone for me, dating back to 1979. It's been around 44-45 years since then. Mast marked a pivotal moment in my career, transitioning from a child actor and model to a lead actor. Since then, I've been part of around 50-60 films.

How do you perceive your journey so far?

Every day is a learning opportunity for me. I approach each day with a student mentality, eager to learn from every experience, person, or film I encounter. This mindset has been crucial throughout my career, as I continuously strive to improve myself.

How has your journey been?

My journey has been filled with adventures and incredible experiences. Like any long journey, there have been ups and downs. However, I've learned to accept both the sunny and rainy days, understanding that each brings its own lessons and joys.

Are you shy in person?

Yes, I tend to be quite shy and introverted when the camera is off. I enjoy socializing with those I connect with, but my comfort zone is in front of the camera, where I've spent most of my life. Despite not coming from a film family, I found my passion in acting early on.

Do you feel like a chameleon in front of the camera?

When the camera is on, I feel at home. I can't imagine doing anything else. I love the variety that comes with acting, from different characters to diverse locations. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities to entertain audiences.

When I met Nin, it felt like a breath of fresh air. I knew she was the one I wanted to spend my life with. Our connection is deep, and we were both ready for marriage. The arrival of our daughter Nevaeh in 2020 has been another significant milestone in my life.

Becoming a parent at the right time has been a joy. We've enjoyed our lives as a couple before welcoming Nevaeh, who is now three years old. Parenting is a learning experience, and it allows me to relive my childhood through her eyes. I'm grateful to my wife for her support while I work.

What projects are you currently working on?

I'm involved in several exciting projects, including 'Welcome To The Jungle' and 'Kasur 2,' a horror film. There's also a new film starting next month, which will be officially announced soon.

Are you making a comeback?

People often think I've disappeared, but actors are always waiting for the right opportunities. I've always prioritized quality over quantity in my work, which requires patience and self-belief. Thankfully, good projects are coming my way now.

My first film, 'Mast,' and my second film, 'Kasoor,' were significant turning points. They helped me establish my identity as an actor. Each film, whether successful or not, has taught me valuable lessons.

I often get asked if I've been shortchanged, but I've always given my best in every role. I focus on my performance, as that's what I can control. The audience's reception is beyond my influence. I'm grateful for the love and support I've received over the years.

I embrace both hardships and comforts in life. Accepting challenges with a calm mind allows me to move forward. I take responsibility for my actions and decisions, learning from every experience.
