Aamir Khan Opens Up About His Marital Journey and Upcoming Film

Aamir Khan Discusses Personal Life and New Film
Aamir Khan, who is actively promoting his forthcoming movie 'Sitaare Zameen Par', recently shared insights into his personal experiences during an interview with a media channel. He candidly addressed his two unsuccessful marriages.
In a light-hearted moment, Aamir humorously stated, “Shaadi mein main kamyab nahi hua hoon, lekin divorce mein main hua hoon” (I haven’t succeeded in marriage, but I have succeeded in divorce).
Reflecting on his past, Aamir expressed the challenges faced by him and his family during these transitions, saying, “Humare parivar ke liye bhi ye ek cheez hain jisse hum khush nahi hain. Hum khushi-khushi ye cheez nahi kar rahe hain. Lekin kuch circumstances aise aayein jisme humein lagta hain ki shayad humara rishta badal gaya hain. Toh meri thinking ye hain ki yaa toh main duniya ko jhooth bol sakta hoon aur pretend kar sakta hoon ki Kiran [Rao] aur main bohot khush hain aur hum log shaadi-shuda hain” (This is something that our family is not happy about. We are not doing this happily. Certain circumstances have led us to feel that our relationship has changed. So my thought is that I can either lie to the world and pretend that Kiran and I are very happy and still married).
Aamir finalized his divorce from filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2021, and they share a son named Azad Rao Khan. Prior to this, he was married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan.
Recently, he introduced his current partner, Gauri Spratt, to the public during his 60th birthday celebrations.
On the professional front, Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of 'Sitaare Zameen Par', which features Genelia Deshmukh and is set to hit theaters on June 20. This film serves as a spiritual sequel to his earlier hit 'Taare Zameen Par' and is a remake of the Spanish film 'Champions' (2018).
