Introduction to the New Mercedes AMG G63

Mercedes has officially unveiled the much-anticipated AMG G63 G-Wagon India Edition. This special model, crafted by the Mercedes India Design and R&D team, aims to honor the brand's loyal fanbase in India, reflecting their appreciation since the vehicle's initial launch.

Distinctive Design Elements

The Indian variant of the G-Wagon showcases its iconic silhouette in two exclusive matte colors: Mid Green Mango and Red Mango. These limited-edition shades are designed to enhance the vehicle's uniqueness. Additionally, the G-Wagon will feature multi-spoke golden alloy wheels, and the body will be adorned with a Collectors Edition insignia on the body beading and the spare wheel cover.

Luxurious Interior Features

Inside, the new G-Wagon edition mirrors the standard model but includes exclusive enhancements. It boasts a sophisticated beige and black interior, complemented by a bespoke open-pore walnut wood grab handle on the dashboard. Mercedes has also introduced a personalized touch, allowing owners to engrave their names on the custom wood door handle. The seating and interior are upholstered in Catalina beige and black Napa leather with diamond stitching, while the 12.3-inch infotainment screen and turbine-inspired vents remain unchanged.

Powertrain Specifications

Mechanically, the G-Wagon retains the same powerful setup as the standard model, featuring a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 585 horsepower and 850 Nm of peak torque. The mild hybrid system provides an additional 22 PS of boost, enhancing the vehicle's performance. It is paired with a 9-speed AMG Speedshift transmission and Mercedes' 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system, complete with locking differentials and a low-range gearbox.

Advanced Technology Features

The Mercedes G-Wagon is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including the MBUX infotainment system with dual screens, a Burmester 3D surround sound system, and 64-color ambient lighting. These luxurious features are expected from an SUV priced around 4 crores. Mercedes has committed to producing only 30 units of this exclusive edition. The standard AMG G63 is priced at Rs 3.75 crore, with potential increases up to Rs 4.3 crore depending on customizations.
