The last encounter between Australia and South Africa in a Test series was in 2022-23, where Australia emerged victorious with a 2-0 scoreline. Australia secured its place in the ICC World Test Championship final by defeating India 3-1 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series last year. The final is scheduled to take place from June 11 to June 15 at the iconic Lord's ground.
