Uttarakhand Shocking Murder Case: Woman and Lover Arrested for Killing Husband

Murder Investigation in Pauri Garhwal

A disturbing incident has emerged from the Pauri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand, where a woman and her partner have been apprehended for the alleged murder of her husband. The police reported that the man's body was found on June 5 in Kotdwar. Investigations revealed that the deceased was originally from Delhi and had sustained multiple injuries, indicating a brutal murder.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Lokeshwar Singh informed that a case has been filed under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). It was discovered during the inquiry that the victim had recently entered into a second marriage.

Singh stated, “On June 5, a dead body was located in the Kotdwar police jurisdiction. The post-mortem examination revealed numerous injuries, suggesting foul play. Consequently, we registered a case under Section 103 of the BNS.”

Further details from SSP Singh indicated that through CCTV footage and other evidence, authorities identified that the victim was murdered by his second wife and her lover.

He elaborated, “Our investigation confirmed that the victim, a Delhi resident, had recently remarried. Utilizing CCTV and additional evidence, we established that his second wife and her lover were responsible for the murder. They subsequently disposed of his body in the Kotdwar area. Both suspects have been arrested and brought before the court. The motive appears to stem from a dispute related to a love affair and property.”

The accused were presented in court yesterday, and while the police are still working to ascertain the exact motive behind the murder, initial findings suggest that it may be linked to a love affair or property disputes.
