Sunjay Kapur's Untimely Demise
Sunjay Kapur, a well-known industrialist and former spouse of actress Karisma Kapoor, has died in London at the age of 53. His unexpected passing has left his friends and family in shock. The funeral service is scheduled to take place in Delhi today, following a delay caused by citizenship complications.
The last rites were conducted at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi, where Karisma and their children, Samaira and Kiaan, were present to pay their respects.
A video has emerged showing Karisma boarding a private charter flight with her children, visibly upset. Saif Ali Khan was also spotted greeting the flight crew before his departure.
On June 22, a prayer meeting is set to occur at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi from 4 PM to 5 PM.
Sunjay Kapur held the position of chairman at Sona Comstar and was a significant figure in the automotive sector. He also served as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region, which operated across various states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and three Union Territories under his guidance.
For context, Sunjay and Karisma were married in 2003 and had two children together. They finalized their divorce in 2016 but maintained a cooperative parenting relationship.
