The Elevated Railway Track Project: Awasthi's first year saw the approval of the elevated railway track project from Anwarganj to Madhna, a significant step towards modernizing Kanpur's infrastructure. This initiative, overseen by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, aims to eliminate 16 out of 18 crossings, alleviating traffic congestion caused by frequent railway crossings. Valued at around ₹1,000 crore, this project promises to enhance connectivity in Kanpur.

2. Traffic Infrastructure Enhancements: With a population exceeding 5 million, Kanpur has struggled with severe traffic issues. Awasthi has advocated for the construction of flyovers and overpasses, with two major projects already approved, including a four-lane railway overpass near Jareeb Chowki and a four-lane bridge over the Ganga, significantly improving transportation in the city.

3. Resolution of Lal Imli Mill Workers' Wages: Awasthi's intervention resulted in the settlement of long-overdue wages for Lal Imli Mill workers, who had faced financial difficulties for years. Thanks to his efforts, the workers received their outstanding wages totaling ₹87.42 crores, improving their financial situation and restoring their faith in leadership.

4. Revitalization of Kanpur's Industry: Once known as the 'Manchester of the East,' Kanpur's industrial activity had declined. Awasthi has been actively collaborating with the Prime Minister to rejuvenate the city's industrial base by transforming old mills into an IT park and creating new job opportunities. The government has promised swift action, and Awasthi remains optimistic about positive outcomes.

5. Expansion of Railway Services: Awasthi has also focused on enhancing Kanpur's railway connectivity, advocating for the revival of several train services, including a daily superfast intercity train between Kanpur and Bareilly, as well as the resumption of the Gomti Express. These services will facilitate easier travel for Kanpur's residents, improving overall connectivity.
