Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder: Police Investigate Possible Deeper Motive
Investigation into the Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder
In the ongoing investigation of the Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder case, authorities are set to take all suspects, including Sonam Raghuvanshi, to Sohra on Tuesday to reenact the crime scene. However, the circumstances surrounding Raja Raghuvanshi's death suggest complexities beyond a mere love triangle. DGP Idashisha Nongrang expressed skepticism regarding the motives presented by the accused, indicating that they do not align well with the murder narrative.
The DGP remarked, "We are exploring the possibility of additional information. It is hard to believe that someone could harbor such intense animosity just days after marriage and plan a murder. While it superficially appears to be a love triangle, we cannot definitively state that this is the sole motive. The investigation is still unfolding."
Furthermore, she noted, "I want to emphasize that the Sohra Police Station, where this incident occurred, has the lowest crime rate among all police stations in the state. There have been no recorded murders in this area for decades."
