Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder Case: Shocking Details of Failed Attempts Revealed
Unraveling the Murder Plot
New revelations have emerged in the disturbing honeymoon murder case from Meghalaya. Authorities have disclosed that the accused, including Sonam Raghuvanshi, attempted to murder Raja on three separate occasions prior to the successful attempt. Raja was reportedly killed by his wife Sonam and her accomplice Raj Kushwaha, who enlisted the help of three hired assassins during their honeymoon trip.
Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem addressed the media, stating, "The murder of Raja Raghuvanshi was finally accomplished on the fourth attempt." The police detailed that the initial attempt occurred in Guwahati, followed by two more in Sohra, all of which were unsuccessful. Ultimately, Raja was murdered at the Visadong waterfall.
SP Vivek further elaborated, "They had previously planned to eliminate him in various locations. Their intention was to dispose of Raja's body in Guwahati, but that plan fell through. They also considered Nongriat but couldn't find a suitable spot for the body. Their final attempt was executed in Weisawdong while Raja was in the washroom."
He added, "After their marriage, Sonam and Raja traveled to Guwahati to visit Kamakhya. The hired killers had arrived on May 19, with the original plan to kill Raja in Guwahati. However, Sonam's decision to visit Shillong and Sohra led to a change in plans."
