New Developments in the Meghalaya Murder Case

Following the release of a video showing Sonam and Raja Raghuvanshi trekking in Meghalaya, another clip has surfaced on Instagram from the same vlogger. This new footage reportedly captures the couple moments before Raja's tragic murder. The video allegedly includes the three suspects connected to the honeymoon murder case.

The Instagram user m_devsingh, who shared the video, mentioned in the caption that the three accused began their trek just 20 minutes prior to Sonam and Raja.

On May 23, Devendera Singh was trekking the renowned Double Decker Root Bridge trail near Cherrapunji, capturing the beautiful scenery. Upon reviewing his footage days later, he noticed a couple, Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi from Indore, ascending the trail, with Sonam wearing a white shirt that was later discovered near Raja's body.

Devendra Singh previously mentioned on Instagram, "I recorded this video during my trek on May 23, 2025. While reviewing it, I spotted the Indore couple around 9:45 AM as we were descending, and they were heading up after spending the night in Nogrit village."

He expressed his sorrow, stating, "This might be the last footage of them. Sonam was in the same white shirt found with Raja. Seeing Raja in the video made me feel terrible; he seemed unaware of the fate that awaited him. I also have another video showing three individuals from Indore who began their trek 20 minutes before the couple, and they have since been apprehended by the police."

The additional video shared on his Instagram clearly depicts the three suspects—Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi—hiking the same route as Raja and Sonam.

Singh noted that there was a 20-minute gap between the couple and the trio captured on camera. The suspects were filmed at 9:25 AM on May 23, while Raja and Sonam appeared in the footage at 9:45 AM.
