On Tuesday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized that the situation is not merely a conflict between India and Pakistan, but rather a reaction to the threat posed by terrorism in Brussels. He reaffirmed India's commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and the importance of resisting nuclear intimidation.

During a joint press conference with Kaja Kallas, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Jaishankar stated, "It's crucial to recognize that this is not just a bilateral issue. Instead, it is a response to the ongoing threat of terrorism. I encourage you to view it not as India versus Pakistan, but as India versus Terroristan for a clearer understanding."

International Cooperation Against Terrorism

Jaishankar highlighted that terrorism represents a "shared and interconnected challenge" for nations worldwide. He stressed the necessity for robust international collaboration to combat this issue.

"We firmly believe in a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism in all its forms. It is vital that we do not succumb to nuclear threats. This challenge is interconnected globally, and strong international cooperation is essential," he remarked.
