Safety Measures for Indian Nationals in Tehran
Israel-Iran Conflict: In light of the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the Ministry of External Affairs announced on Tuesday that Indian students have been safely relocated from Tehran, thanks to the efforts of the Indian Embassy. The MEA shared on social media, stating, “Residents who can manage their own transportation have also been advised to leave the city considering the current situation. Additionally, some Indians have been assisted in exiting Iran via the Armenia border.”
The MEA emphasized that the Embassy will continue to provide necessary support to the Indian community. Furthermore, the Indian Embassy in Iran has shared three contact numbers for Indian nationals who are stranded in Tehran or have not yet reached out for assistance. The Embassy urged, “All Indian Nationals currently in Tehran and not in contact with us should reach out to the Embassy of India in Tehran immediately and share their location and contact details. Moreover, the Indian Embassy has advised Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) who can leave independently to move to safer locations. The conflict has now reached its fifth day, resulting in the deaths of 224 individuals in Iran and 24 in Israel.
