Greater Noida: Three Labourers Die in Basement Collapse

A tragic incident in Greater Noida has led to the death of three labourers after a basement wall collapsed during construction. The victims, identified as Pushpendra, Anita, and Malti, were trapped under the debris, while two others were hospitalized. In a separate event, a fire broke out at a shop in Delhi's Chandni Chowk, prompting a swift response from fire services. The causes of both incidents are under investigation, raising concerns about safety in construction and commercial areas.
 

Tragic Basement Collapse Claims Lives

A heartbreaking incident occurred in Greater Noida where three workers lost their lives due to the collapse of a basement wall. This unfortunate event took place within the jurisdiction of the Ecotech-1 police station.


Details of the Incident


The collapse happened while construction was in progress at Aasara Private Limited, resulting in five labourers being trapped beneath the debris. Tragically, three of them died, while the remaining two were rushed to a hospital for medical attention.


Identities of the Victims


The deceased have been identified as Pushpendra, Anita, and Malti, all hailing from Uttar Pradesh. The injured individuals, Dheerendra and Umesh Kumar, are residents of Bulandshahr.


A senior police official confirmed that an investigation is underway, and law enforcement personnel have been dispatched to the scene.


Fire Incident in Delhi's Chandni Chowk

In an unrelated event, a fire erupted at a shop located in the Chandni Chowk area of Delhi on Thursday.


The fire was reported at shop number 419 on Splendid Road, situated opposite the parade ground parking area and near The Tara Hotel.


To control the blaze, eight fire engines were deployed to the location. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries. However, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain unknown.
