Ganga Dussehra celebrates the arrival of Goddess Ganga on Earth, who descended to purify the souls of King Bhagirath's ancestors and to cleanse humanity of its sins. According to Hindu legends, King Bhagirath undertook severe penance to bring Ganga down from the heavens. However, her descent was so powerful that it could have caused devastation, prompting Lord Shiva to catch her in his hair.

Rituals and Puja Vidhi for Ganga Dussehra 2025
