About The Deadly Crash
The ill-fated flight, which was en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick on June 12, 2025, was carrying 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian national.
It tragically crashed into a hostel building for resident doctors near Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport shortly after take-off.
The aircraft was under the command of Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, a Line Training Captain with over 8,200 flying hours, and First Officer Clive Kundar, who had logged 1,100 hours. The plane took off from Ahmedabad at 1339 IST (0809 UTC) from runway 23.
After making a Mayday call to Air Traffic Control, the aircraft lost communication and subsequently crashed outside the airport perimeter.
