ADGP Armed Reviews Facilities at Zewan Police Complex

In a significant visit to the Armed Police Complex in Zewan, ADGP Armed JmAnand Jain, along with senior officers, reviewed the operations and inaugurated several new facilities aimed at enhancing the welfare of police personnel. The visit included a tribute to fallen heroes at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial and a special Darbar where service-related issues were addressed. Jain emphasized the importance of hygiene and efficiency, urging the adoption of modern systems to improve operations. This visit highlights the commitment to supporting the police force in Jammu and Kashmir.
 

ADGP Armed Visits Zewan Police Complex

IPS officer JmAnand Jain, who serves as the ADGP Armed in Jammu and Kashmir, visited the Armed Police Complex in Zewan today. He was accompanied by Junaid Mehmood, IPS, the Deputy Inspector General of IRP Kashmir, and Shahid Mehraj, IPS, the Deputy Inspector General of Armed Kashmir, to assess the operations of various units stationed there.



Upon his arrival, Jain received a warm reception from the officers present. He reviewed the March Past performed by various contingents, including those undergoing specialized refresher training. Additionally, he paid tribute at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial Zewan, honoring the courageous individuals who lost their lives in service.



During the visit, Jain inaugurated several new facilities, including a Football Ground, Wet Canteen, Joint Control Room, Kendriya Kalyan Bhandar Canteen, and a She Box Women helpline. He also inspected the Subsidiary Police Hospital Zewan. A special Darbar was convened where personnel discussed service-related concerns, and immediate solutions were provided. Jain emphasized the importance of hygiene and instructed regular cleanliness initiatives and medical check-ups for all staff.



Jain also conducted a thorough inspection of the infrastructure, which included administrative offices, barracks, mess facilities, and the motor transport fleet. He urged the officers to remain alert in anticipation of the Shri Amaranth Ji Yatra 2025 and encouraged the adoption of the e-Office system to improve efficiency and minimize paper usage.



Notable officers present during the visit included Ms. Bisma Qazi, IPS, Commandant of the Lady 2nd Battalion, Shahzad Salaria, SSP, Commandant of JKAP 9th Battalion, Arif Amin, Commandant of Border 2nd Battalion, Munir Ahmed, SSP APCR Kashmir, along with other officials.
